At the Members Meeting on May 31st, we finally had the opportunity to award the selected member company and the person chosen for the year 2021. This prize is given for the extraordinary engagement, activities, and involvement in the sphere of DBDH.
And the award goes to
The awarded company for the year 2021 is Fjernvarme Fyn (District Heating Funen), with its wide range of employees who contribute by traveling on export promotions and receiving delegation visits to their site. On a recent visit with a Latvian delegation, we experienced a warm reception, friendly hospitality with cake and coffee at the visitor center at Facebook, and exciting presentations about Fjernvarme Fyn’s use of surplus heat.
The person of the year 2021
Jes Donneborg from Aalborg CSP was awarded as the person of the year 2021. Jes is very active in DBDH promotions and is good at putting district heating in perspective. Jes understands and spends time explaining that DH abroad should not be a copy of Denmark but should be developed with respect for and in collaboration with the specific countries and their local forces. He is a “just-do-it man” with many ideas he shares generously. And finally, he is a very cozy travel companion.
