Let’s work together towards a better world with much more district energy that will benefit people, companies, and cities. The energy crisis is here. This has led to massive investments moving us away from natural gas and towards district energy. Nobody knows where we will be after the crisis, but the growth will continue.
Our vision is to be The Go-to Partner for District Energy. That means we will be available for everyone who supports our mission. But even more so, we will be active in sharing knowledge and networking with the entire sector. We invite you to collaborate with DBDH to achieve our mission – “create a better world where people, companies, and cities benefit from sustainable district energy”.

Our vision is to be the Go-to-Partner for everyone in the sector. As a Go-to-Partner we are an active, outreaching organisation, from where we share knowledge, create engagement, interact, and support the district energy development world-wide. Together we make more people, companies and cities benefit from sustainable district energy.
DBDH is a catalyst for networking, knowledge sharing, market development and communication.
Our aim is to support the global development of district energy.
DBDH STRATEGIC EFFORTS
NETWORK
At DBDH we actively work to enlarge and improve our national and international network. The aim is to engage new types of stakeholders, in innovative and better ways.
In the future DBDH will continue the well-known networking activities e.g. our member meetings and at the same time develop new activities that can bring people together in exciting ways.
EXPORT PROMOTION
The origin of DBDH was to take an active role in developing district heating globally by sharing knowledge about the strong development of district energy in Denmark. Our focus still is to support our members development and export activities through seminars, conferences and delegation visits.
MARKET DEVELOPMENT
We develop and take part in projects and activities that create opportunities for district energy worldwide.
The goal for this area is simple ”more, better, and faster district energy”.
We seek cooperation with international and local partners and make our expertise available.
COMMUNICATION
DBDH will continue to publish Hot|Cool – probably the best international district energy magazine.
With our newsletters and SoMe channels, we bring knowledge to the entire sector. Being a strong communication partner is an essential Go-to role.
PUBLIC AFFAIRS
Public Affairs will focus on Danish and international public support and funding for district energy development activities. Efforts to support the development of framework conditions will have priority.
PARTNERSHIPS
DBDH brings together and activates the sector for shared value creation.

ABOUT DBDH
DBDHs goal is to create the best value for all stakeholders in the district energy world and to support the development of district energy. We do that by continuously developing the strategic efforts as The Go-to-Partner for District Energy.
DBDH is a Danish non-for-profit member NGO, established in 1978. Together with our 75 members we work to give people, companies and cities the benefit of district energy. Our focus is networking, export promotion, market development,
communication and public affairs.
Our members and cooperation partners are from the entire district energy value chain and consists of Danish and international district heating utilities, manufacturers, advisors, authorities and universities.
We are here to help you district energize your city.
