The 27th Polish District Heating Forum, which took place in Miedzyzdroje from September 10th to 13th, 2023, was a significant event in the district heating field.
Supported by DBDH, the Danish Embassy in Warsaw, and the Polish Chamber of District Heating, this conference and exhibition saw the active participation of nine Danish companies, all bringing their expertise to the table.
With 900 participants attending
This event is widely recognized as the biggest of its kind in Poland, attracting representatives from major heating companies operating within the country. Over the past 26 years, it has been a key initiative of the Polish Chamber of District Heating in Miedzyzdroje, near Szczecin, with this year’s attendance exceeding 900 participants.
Focus on district heating transformation
At this year’s Forum, the focus was on the transformation of district heating in Poland to align with EU requirements and local energy policies. Panel discussions featured valuable insights from representatives of the Ministry of Climate and Environment, the Energy Regulatory Office, the National Fund for Environmental Protection, and district heating companies. Notably, Mr. Lars Gullev from VEKS, Denmark, shared Danish perspectives during the opening panel session of the conference.
Danish contributions at the exhibition
The Danish presence at the exhibition included Broen, Fenagy, Aalborg CSP, Innargi, Kamstrup, Savosolar, BWSC, Danstoker, and the Energy and Climate Academy, all making substantial contributions to the ongoing dialogue and showcasing Danish technologies. This event served as an excellent platform for the exchange of ideas and staying up to date with the latest developments in Poland’s district heating sector.
