USA: Coal plants to cut one-third of CO2 emissions

Date: 03/06/2014

America’s enormous coal consumption must be slashed dramatically due to climate changes.

President Barack Obama has, along with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) presented a new plan, Clean Power Plan, to bring the U.S. back on track in the fight against climate changes. The plan orders power plants to cut down on CO2 emissions.

Thus, all of the country’s power plants must, by 2030, have reduced their CO2 emissions by 30 percent compared to the 2005 level.
