Turkey to invest more than 1,000 billion in energy and environment

Turkey has ambitious plans with the developing of energy in a greener and more energy efficient direction. Therefore the country will over the next 10 years invest up to 1,300 billion DKK in energy and environment, according to the Danish newspaper Børsen. 


The turks are focusing on reducing dependence on imported oil and gas and is therefore investing heavily to improve its energy efficiency. The share of renewable energy must also be increased from 10 to 30 percent over the same 10-year period.
