Three Danish sustainable energy solutions are present on the new list of the think tank Sustania which has elected 100 products and solutions to the world’s climate problems.
The three energy solutions are Graasten District Heating Company which supplies district heating by the means of biomass and over a quarter solar energy; the company Iso Paint Nordic, which reduces energy consumption by white roof coating; and member of DBDH HOFOR’s district cooling system in Copenhagen.
“We appreciate the recognition of being one of the 10 solutions in the world selected to contribute to creating sustainable cities. In our daily work, the primary focus is to reduce CO2 emissions in Copenhagen by replacing air condition operated by electricity with district cooling. We are happy that our efforts to make Copenhagen CO2 neutral in 2025 is also being noticed outside Denmark,” says the head of district cooling in HOFOR, Henrik Lorentsen Bøgeskov in a press release.
