The first solar district heating plant in France is in operation

In combination with a biomass boiler, the new plant of 458 m² of vacuum tube solar collectors provides energy to the Vidailhan Ecodistrict near Toulouse since summer 2014.

The district heating providing energy to the 1200 apartments of the neighborhood has been developed, built and is operated by Cofely Services.

The new technology of vaccum tube solar collectors Vitosol 200-T type SPL developed by Viessmann and winner of the last OTTI Innovation Award has been chosen for this installation. The solar plant is installed on a shade structure on the top of parking in order to optimize the available area in this urban environment.
