The EIFO Green Accelerator project is implemented by an alliance of three Danish companies—Linka, Logstor Kingspan, and Desmi—in collaboration with DBDH. This initiative is supported by the EIFO Green Accelerator Facility and aims to foster a green transition in Ukraine while enhancing Danish green exports.
The project focuses on reconstructing the district heating system in Rivne city, where a feasibility study led by Ramboll consultants is underway. The study integrates Danish technologies and expertise to meet the reconstruction needs, specifically:
- Linka provides biomass boilers utilizing locally sourced fuels to ensure sustainable heat generation and carbon emission reduction.
- Logstor Kingspan offers high-quality pipes optimized for heat transfer and durability, ensuring efficient heat distribution.
- Desmi supplies energy-efficient pumps tailored to district heating applications, enhancing reliability and minimizing energy consumption.
This project demonstrates Denmark’s commitment to Ukraine’s sustainable rebuilding and establishes a template for scaling such efforts to other cities. Dissemination activities are planned to expand the project’s impact and engage additional Ukrainian municipalities, potentially making it the first EIFO-financed initiative in Ukraine’s district heating sector.
