New York Governor Andrew M. Cuomo has announced the availability of $250 million to fund medium- and large-scale clean energy projects to produce electricity from wind, hydro and biomass throughout the State. This funding is a critical component of the governor’s Energy Highway Blueprint to upgrade and modernize New York’s aging energy infrastructure.
Funding for these renewable projects is administered by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) through the state’s Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS). The projects will help expand the State’s renewable energy portfolio and also assist the State in reducing its carbon footprint.
