Logstor has made a contract with TransCanada PipeLines Limited to carry out insulation and installation tasks on the Northern Courier Pipeline project.
The project includes a 90-km pipeline that will transport bitumen from mining in the Fort Hills to the East Tank Farm north of Fort McMurray in Alberta. Part of the contract is zoned to the subcontractor Shaw Pipe Protection, which is a division of ShawCor Ltd..
The contract includes insulation of 90 km pipes with a dimension of 24 inches (610 mm) in diameter. The assignment is expected to commence during the third quarter in 2014, and the task to be performed at Shaw Pipe Protection’s facility in Camrose, Alberta.
