After 80 years of ownership within the Frese family, Slagelse-based Frese A/S is becoming part of Vexve Group Oy, Europe’s leading provider of valves for the energy sector and energy-intensive industries.

“We are very pleased to start the new year with Finnish Vexve as our owner. The two companies complement each other well regarding culture, values, products, and markets. Given Vexve’s impressive development in recent years, we are confident that this new partnership is the right step for us,” said René Barington, CEO of Frese A/S.
He added:
“For eight decades, Frese A/S has built itself into one of the world’s leading manufacturers of energy-efficient dynamic valves for heating and cooling systems. For some time, we have aimed to take another significant step forward in strengthening our company, which required more than we could achieve alone. In Vexve, we have found a partner that aligns perfectly with us.”
In addition to product synergy, the two companies also complement each other geographically. Vexve has a strong presence in Finland, Sweden, and Eastern Europe, while Frese’s strengths lie in Denmark, Western Europe, and increasingly in the Middle East and China.
René Barington, who will continue as CEO, assured that the company’s operations and production will remain intact:
“We have strong competencies in Denmark, which Vexve intends to retain and further develop. This foundation has been key to our growth and is something Vexve is eager to build upon.”
