On 31th May a delegation from Korea lead by Korea Energy Management Corporation and with the participation of several larger Korean district heating companies visited Denmark. They were interested in learning about the newest concepts and technologies within district heating in Denmark and also to learn about how to regulate an efficient district energy market.
The visit was arranged by the Danish Energy Authority. They had presentations from Ramboll and Danfoss and they had site visits to Vestforbrændingen (waste incineration and district heating system). Here they also had a presentation by the Managing Director Lars Gullev from VEKS (large transmission company in Greater Copenhagen). He told them about the cooperation among the municipalities in the Greater Copenhagen Area. They ended the day by a visit to DBDH to learn more about the competences and capabilities of Danish companies.
