Date: 08/10/2014

Kamstrup has announced that it has acquired the business of the Danish software company Saseco, which is specialized in analytical solutions for energy management.

“In order to visualize data to drive intuitive fact based decisions we will increase our offering and competences within analytical software through partnerships and acquisition. Saseco is an important step in this direction”, says Henrik Mørck Mogensen, Technology Manager, Software at Kamstrup.

Saseco has developed the application, eButler, that visualizes water, electricity and heat consumption based on data from intelligent meters. Kamstrup will continue to support and develop the eButler product across key business areas as an open and integratable solution.

“With eButler utilities and other customers will get a new analytical platform to optimize grid operation and a tool to service their consumers. Through intuitive visualisation they can get a deeper insight in their energy consumption and save money”, says Jens Andreasen, Kamstrup’s Division Manager for Metering Services Division.

To fully benefit from the competences within analyzing big data and user driven innovation, Saseco will be a fully integrated part of Kamstrup within the coming quarter. All Saseco employees will move to the Kamstrup headquarter in Stilling near Aarhus.

“Saseco has a prosperous future as part of the Kamstrup organization. It’s a great opportunity to take advantage of the synergy between our products for the benefit of our existing and future customers”, says John Haar, Managing Director of Saseco.
