John Tang Jensen has been a Senior Consultant at the Danish Foreign Ministry and Danish Energy Agency since February 2018, delegated to China and, at the moment, delegated to England and the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero in the British Government.
He worked as Chief Consultant at the Danish District Heating Association from 2007 to 2018 and from 2020 to 2021. From leaving engineering school in 1987 to 2007, he has worked in a Paper company, having many different functions in management, from the Production manager, Project manager, and Quality manager to Environmental and Energy manager for the last eight years.
He is a district heating specialist working on legal, policy, economic, and technical issues related to district heating networks and heat sources, including integrating district heating networks with waste heat sources and electricity systems.
Besides engineering, his educational background includes economics from Odense University in 2009.
