Yesterday, DBDH had the pleasure of welcoming a delegation from Japan. The group, led by the Japan Heat Supply Business Association, included numerous decision-makers from Japanese utility companies. The purpose of their visit was to gain insights into the latest trends in district heating, and their study trip commenced in Denmark. The association is composed of 74 heat supply companies.
During their visit to DBDH, the delegation was briefed on Danish district heating systems by Anders Dyrelund from Rambøll. Jan Hindsbo from CTR provided a specific focus on Greater Copenhagen. The delegation also had the opportunity to tour the control room at CTR. Following this, they proceeded to Taarnby Forsyning to learn from their experiences with surplus heat, district cooling from wastewater using heat pumps, and the ongoing district heating expansions.
The delegation’s tour will continue with visits to Copenhill before concluding in Germany.
