Integration of 100% renewable energy plant

by dbdh

In the framework of the FP7 European Project “SUNSTORE4”, the district heating grid in Marstal (Denmark) is demonstrating the integration of a 100% renewable energy plant, based on solar energy and biomass energy (willow wood chips from energy crops), including a compressor heat pump using CO2 as refrigerant and electricity production from biomass through an ORC unit. Based on this experience, the SUNSTORE4 project aims to assess the feasibility of such a plant in other EU countries.
