Inopower solutions are a key element globally in securing the balance of an electricity grid, especially as renewable energy sources continue to grow.
Power 2 heat solutions
Inopower designs and provides power-2-heat solutions and systems based on high-voltage electrode boilers (e-boilers).
The e-boiler system can produce high amounts of heat when electricity prices are low due to excess energy in the grid. It can be used as a primary production unit, a secondary unit to meet peak demands or a backup resource.
Our well-known e-boilers are state-of-the-art and based on many years of experience in the Danish and other European district heating markets.
Our product ranges in flexible capacity from 5 MW to 60 MW, with models of high-voltage connections between 10 kV and 20 kV.
Plants can be configured with as many parallel units as needed, enabling several hundred MW plant sizes.
A key advantage of our technology is the e-boiler’s ability to ramp from 0% to 100% load within 30 seconds. Our e-boiler can also operate with true zero load.
An e-boiler system from Inopower has very low CAPEX and OPEX and is often the preferred production unit for district heating companies.
Power grid balancing solution
Since the Danish power market was liberalized in 2005, Inopower has been a leading supplier of power grid balancing control systems with in-house developed algorithm-based software solutions.
Inopower systems control stand-alone or combined assets supplying primary frequency control (FFR, FCR, FCR-N, FCR-D), secondary frequency control (aFRR), and tertiary frequency control (mFRR) markets in the European grid.
