Ukraine: District Heating road show, 17-21 April 2016

Dear members of DBDH

In cooperation with Danish Embassy in Kyiv, it is a pleasure to invite you to participate in a District Heating Sector Visit to Ukraine – a focused visit to the cities of Mykolaiv, Odessa and Vinnytsia from 17 to 21 April.

In the period 2015-2020, the World Bank will invest in a portfolio of major projects to support the government’s reform of a sustainable economy. USD 383 million are allocated to a separate project “district heating energy efficiency (DHEE), which includes 10 major cities in Ukraine.

The Danish Embassy in Kyiv and DBDH –  in cooperation with the WB Central Group of Implementation – have initiated several events during 2015 in order to strengthen the cooperation with Danish companies in the district heating sector and the Ukrainian cities comprised by this WB project.

The choice of the cities we will visit in April:  Mykolaiv, Vinnytsia and Odessa, is based on a close dialogue with the cities and the WB Central Group of Project Implementation. During the event, we will meet the district heating companies and their individual project teams, city administration, and other relevant stakeholders, and during seminars, meetings and networking activities present the Danish technologies and know-how and discuss the possibilities for cooperation. Meetings in Kyiv will also be part of the program.

The Danish Energy Agency will support our promotion of the Danish district heating sector and be part of the event.
