The November members meeting this time took place in the city of Køge – a city very suited for the purpose, as the district heating network is undergoing large extensions these years.
Lars Gullev, Chairman of DBDH and Managing Director of VEKS knows firsthand a lot about the development in Køge. Lars gave an interesting account into the process and status of district heating in the city. (See all presentations below).
DBDH now has more than 60 member companies. Three of these presented themselves at the event, talking about their businesses as well as their engagement with DBDH. The companies this time were: IFU w. Otto Vinther Christensen; Gentofte District Heating Company w. Johan Sølvhøj; and GEO w. Rasmus Fauerholdt.
After a networking break, three of DBDH’s member companies, all of which focus on exports, were ready to unveil their specific export strategies in the district heating sector. The presentations gave answers to questions like how to do segmentation; how to prioritize; where are sales companies established; what about agents and distributors; and what is the role of utilities in Denmark for our exports? More specifically, what is the next step when you know where the target is? The answers to these questions were given by Kamstrup w. Per Trøjbo; Logstor w. Jørgen Ægidius; and Arcon-Sunmark w. Søren Elisiussen.
The meeting also offered an insight into a few of DBDH’s focus groups (Russian and System Export), as well as a status of the coming activities of DBDH.
Before dinner, Lars Chr. Lilleholt, Danish minister for Energy, Utilities and Climate, took his time from a very hectic schedule to come and talk about the coming COP21 and what he sees as interesting issues for the energy sector in the future. There were many questions form the listeners, and the minister answered willingly on all queries.
We would like to thank everyone for another great members meeting and look forward to the next.
