District Cooling in India – Webinar 1 of 2

Global annual energy use for space cooling is projected to triple until 2050, resulting in 6 200 TWh. More than one-third of this increase (37%), is in China (960 TWh) and India (1350 TWh).

District Cooling has great potential to cover a significant share of the increasing cooling demand, and the concept is starting to become recognized in both countries.

In December 2020, Asia Pacific Urban Energy Association (APUEA) and Danish Board of District Heating (DBDH) are hosting four (4) webinars with focus on District Cooling in China and India:

The webinars aim to introduce the status and development potential for District Cooling in China and India. The speakers includes city representatives, utilities, financial institutions and intergovernmental organizations.
