Export promotion Nottingham

February 26, 2019 - February 28, 2019

Export promotion Nottingham

We are about to visit the city of Robin Hood….. only, this time we will hopefully not deal with the sheriff ?

Instead you are invited to 2 days of district heating activities:

  • February 26: A full day seminar in Nottingham, with speakers from both the UK (BEIS; Nottingham and many more) and from Denmark. Take a look at the first draft program. We’ll make sure you have excellent opportunities to:
    • Learn more about what is going on in the UK and in Nottingham from e.g. BEIS and Nottingham CC
    • Network with a large group of stakeholders from the wider region
    • Present your innovative solutions from the stage
    • Participate in structured discussions with all participants in the seminar – we will do our district heating camps again
  • February 27: On day 2 we invite you to a full day with dedicated workshops where local partners meet the DK delegation on a one-to-one basis. We have of course agreed to meet with Nottingham City Council / EnvironEnergy, who are about to renovate and extend their networks. Other workshops are being planned right now – your input to whom to meet with will be highly appreciated.

DBDH and Nottingham have cooperated a few years and have built a strong connection also with Viborg District Heating Company who works closely with Nottingham. Viborg have acted as mentor for Environenergy and NCC during the last 1½ years. Both Tom and Morten from Viborg will participate in the program.

We have chosen to go to Nottingham this time as they have had their district heating system for many years and right now they look into how to upgrade and expand the network. We have long term close contacts in Nottingham and they will assist with creating  a valuable 2 day visit to England. We will invite widely for the seminar and the separate meetings. Invitations go out to the whole of the UK, but we expect most participants will come from the western part of England. We also partner with APSE, who will help in sharing the invitation.

The price will be DKK 7,900 if only one representative from your company participates and for up to 3 participants: DKK 9,900. We are supported by the Danish Trade Council – that also helps in keeping the price low. The price will cover organisation of the seminar in Nottingham, the workshops on day 2 and a dinner Wednesday evening. All transport and hotel will be arranged by yourself – we will later recommend a hotel.
