Summary of the market introduction
The central event will be a conference in Dublin hosted by CODEMA – Dublin’s Energy Agency – on October 4th. At this conference a report on the future of district heating in Ireland will be launched. Other speakers will be CEO of Sustainable Energy Authority Ireland (SEAI), the Department for Energy, top Irish researchers, and business leaders. The Danish experience will be covered by a Danish district heating utility (Jakobi from Helsingor) together with DBDH at the seminar. Further a number of municipalities and city planners are expected to attend the conference. Detailed program will be released soon.
Before and after the conference the Danish embassy has offered to organize a few meetings with relevant stakeholders for the delegation. CODEMA and SEAI has confirmed. The goal of the meetings will be to get a deeper understanding of the Irish marked and discuss the future developments and partly to introduce the Danish experience. Your suggestions to meetings are most welcome!
