District heating sector visit from Poland

3. June 2019 - 7. June 2019

District Heating Sector Visit from Poland to Denmark, 3 to 7 June, 2019

The theme of the tour is today’s most relevant topic in Poland: 4th generation of district heating – a way to efficiency and improvement of air quality in Poland

We cooperate closely with our Polish partner, the District Heating Association, IGCP. We expect a delegation of approx. 15 business people and decision makers, who want to learn more about the technologies and know-how behind the Danish district heating system, and are committed to apply best available technologies in their district heating systems in Poland. During the tour in Denmark, the delegation will get acquainted with the efficient system solutions within our sector. By participating you will get direct connections to people in the Polish DH sector who are responsible for their DH investments. These potential customers are the direct access to expand Danish DH export opportunities to Poland.

IGCP confirms the interest from the Polish side will be to see all aspects on highly efficient district heating systems in Denmark, and how to transfer and use the Danish experience in Poland. We offer you an opportunity to influence the program by suggesting places to visit, things to experience, content etc.

The tour will focus on:

Renewables (e.g. biomass, solar, heat pumps, geothermal, waste)
Practical examples of technologies in use
Optimisation of system (IT solutions, scada systems, integration, storage, flue gas cleaning, cooling)

The aim is to showcase and promote your technologies and solutions in the best possible surroundings – at the Danish utilities where they are in use.

Preliminary program

The visit will kick off at a “Business Exchange Seminar”  where Polish delegates will share plans for modernization and development in their District Heating plants and how they see possibilities for cooperation with Danish companies. Danish delegates will present projects, background and results to show how Danish technologies and know-how can solve existing technical problems, raise efficiency and have sustainable heat production and transmission. This will also be a great opportunity to network with the delegation.
