Poland is in the process of accelerating the energy transformation process and enabling the implementation of new investments that would help to build energy security and independence. The Polish district heating sector is an important element in this process.
DBDH and the Danish Embassy in Warsaw cooperate closely with our Polish partner, the District Heating Association, IGCP. We expect a delegation of approx. 20 business people and decision makers, who want to learn more about the technologies and know-how behind the Danish district heating system, and are committed to apply best available technologies in their district heating systems in Poland. The list of invitees will include both representatives of state owned heat producers (PGE, Tauron) as well as small and medium sized municipal companies represented by the new management appointed as a result of municipal elections of April 2024.
During the tour in Denmark, the delegation will get acquainted with the efficient system solutions within our sector. By participating you will get direct connection to the stakeholders in the Polish DH sector who are responsible for their district heating investments. These potential customers are the direct access to expand Danish district heating export opportunities to Poland.
The aim is to showcase and promote your technologies and solutions in the best possible surroundings – at the Danish utilities where they are in use.
Preliminary Program The visit will kick off with a B2B Workshop with focus on 4-5 most relevant DH themes, B2B meetings, networking and knowledge sharing with the Polish delegation. Polish delegates from utilities will share plans for modernization and development in their district heating plants and how they see possibilities for cooperation with Danish companies. This will also be a great opportunity to network with the delegation.
18 June:
Polish delegation arrive to Denmark. Workshops on selected themes, presentations and networking
18-20 June:
Site visits to different district heating facilities (within production, transmission, distribution and user side)
Your proposals to any relevant site visits which will fit the Polish interests will be very welcome and included in the program if logistics permit.
Please send a mail to pz@dbdh.dk as soon as possible, and no later than 15 April, 2024.
The participation fee will be informed upon request.
