European Energy was awarded the title of Entrepreneur Of The Year in Denmark by EY for 2021. The award comes after a year with significant positive results for European Energy.
European Energy participated in the competition alongside hundreds of other entrepreneurs and Danish companies. Six companies were nominated to the award but in the end European Energy was selected by the jury as the winner.
The selection jury had this to say about their selection:
– The title as Entrepreneur Of The Year in Denmark is awarded to a company and its owners, who can combine strong business acumen with value creation and development and where the entrepreneur is a role model for the next generation. European Energy is an ambitious company with a global focus and with sustainability at the core of its business. I believe this deserves well-deserved attention at EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year in 2021, said Lars Fløe Nielsen, chairman of the jury for EY Entrepreneur Of The Year.
The jury noted that European Energy is a strong company with fantastic growth. Furthermore, the company has a compelling narrative with a strong focus on sustainability as well as combatting climate change including a strong focus on supporting UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
– We are very happy to win EY Entrepreneur Of The Year in Denmark. This is a tremendous team effort from everyone in the company. We see that the energy sector is going through a rapid green transformation, and we are seeing an extensive build up of renewable energy capacity, says Knud Erik Andersen, CEO of European Energy.
– We are going to see a thorough electrification of our society that will require even more renewable energy. We know that this recognition of our work is just the beginning of a very exciting journey to come, and we hope to do our part in creating a green future.
The strong impact of European Energy’s core business impressed the jury. Likewise, the company’s ambitions on being a first mover in innovation has been exemplified its various projects on energy storage.
The jury stated that European Energy contributes to concrete sustainable development and is constantly developing. The company has a real impact on the globe. Therefore, the jury thinks that the company can be a model company for Denmark.
European Energy will be representing Denmark at EY world finals: EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year 2021.
