Partner Lars Møllenbach Bregnbæk is seconded to China National Renewable Energy Centre (CNREC) as part of Ea’s role in the 5-year program Boosting Renewable Energy as a part of China’s energy system revolution.
Lars will partake in the programme’s analyses, including scenarios and the development of a flexible power grid and system, which can support China’s growing ambitions for the role of renewable energy. He will be engaged in developing the architecture that spans different energy system models, as well as training and assisting the Chinese experts.
The assignment also involves coordinating contributions from the international partners at the Danish Energy Agency (DEA) and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) in the US to CNREC, particular in relation to modelling.
Besides the Boosting Renewable Energy program, Lars will continue participation in activities at Ea Energy Analysis.
