The Dutch minister of economic affairs Henk Kamp announced at  December 7th that The Netherlands will make a transition from gas heating to renewable heat. District heating and deep geothermal heat will play main role in this transition. Klaas de Jong presented his new book about district heating and cooling to minister Kamp. Kamp was delighted with the large number of examples of renewable heat and cold in this book about developments in The Netherlands and Flanders. In the book (Duurzame warmte en koude) Copenhagen is presented as an example of a modern city without natural gas infrastructure. Birger Lauersen of Dansk Fjernvarme wrote the preface in the book.
