Dubai launches district cooling manual

A manual sponsored by Empower, the district cooling subsidiary of Dubai Holdings, is set to be endorsed at the conference of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineering (ASHRAE).

The District Cooling Design Manual is a global reference for air conditioning and heating designs, based on studies and research funded by Empower, said the company.

Empower can offer expertise in district cooling through operating year-round cooling services to cope with the Gulf climate, said the company.

Empower CEO Ahmed bin Shafar is travelling to the US for the launch of the manual, which is expected to be approved by ASHRAE on 27 January in Dallas, Texas.
