Date: 04/06/2021

It was a great event when The Danish and the Serbian District heating sectors met last week during the 8th biannual DH days in Serbia - an event which took place in Corona safe and beautiful surroundings at the National Park Fruska Gora.

The area offered plenty of space for 100+ people who gathered for a two-day top level meeting with decision makers and technical staff of all relevant district heating companies in Serbia. The Serbian district heating association SERBSKA TOPLA (TOPS), Danish Embassy and DBDH co-organized the conference and workshops to discuss greener solutions for district heating in Serbia.

In Serbia some 48% of urban population is connected to district heating networks. There is more than 5821MW of installed capacity for district heating spread over 255 locations throughout the country. Development of district heating networks and district heating systems is the way to further advance energy delivery to consumers as well as industry in Serbia.
