District Heating National Meeting 2022 “Speeding up for a green Denmark”

by Linda Bertelsen

District Heating National Meeting 2022 is setting a record by welcoming more than 2,200 participants Thursday and Friday at the Tivoli Hotel & Congress Center in Copenhagen.

Climate Minister Dan Jørgensen will open National Meeting 2022 with his speech at 10 a.m., where a record number of participants will occupy the Tivoli Hotel & Congress Center.

“Speeding up for a green Denmark” is the common title for National Meeting 2022 – the country’s largest annual event for Denmark’s entire district heating sector. And the event is gaining momentum, with just over 2,200 participants setting a record.

The focus will be on how the district heating companies can speed up Denmark’s green transformation even more. The energy crisis and the Russian invasion of Ukraine mean that precisely switching from fossil heating to green district heating is essential.
Former foreign minister and current chairman of Energinet, Mogens Lykketoft, will thus explain his view on the security of supply on Thursday afternoon together with the chairman of the Danish Parliament’s Foreign Policy Committee, deputy chairman of De Radikale, Martin Lidegaard.

However, current climate minister Dan Jørgensen will open the meeting Thursday and discuss Denmark as the leading green country. He thus gives his suggestions on how, why, and how quickly Denmark can overcome its green transition.
The participants at National Meeting 2022 will not only listen to politicians and key figures in the supply sector but will also be able to meet some of the many suppliers for district heating in the Tivoli Hotel & Congress Center. More than 100 stands fill up nicely at the national meeting.

The national meeting will be launched on Thursday at 10.00, and the national meeting adjourns on Friday at noon.
