The 22nd of July DBDH received a Chinese delegation from CNREC (China National Renewable Energy Centre). CNREC is an important part of the Sino-Danish Renewable Energy Development Programme, a joint effort between China and Denmark which aims a developing the RE technology and the capability of the authorities to manage the rapid development for renewable energy in China.
The visit to DBDH was part of a study trip to Denmark to learn about the Danish energy solutions. DBDH showed them how the district heating sector, in Denmark, is regulated and how DH is an important part of the Danish energy mix. Focus for the whole study trip was to learn more about energy modeling and especially the Balmorel model. The Balmorel energy model is a partial equilibrium model, which supports modelling and analysis of the energy sector with emphasis on the electricity and the combined heat and power sectors.
