Date: 08/09/2016

DBDH was pleased to receive the Belgian delegation, ISVAG from September 05th-06th 2016, led by managing director, Ms. Kirstel Moulaert. The primary focus of the visit was to learn the best practices, economics, and ownership models relating to Danish district energy. ISVAG is a Belgian company that is always seeking the best available techniques for processing waste in the most environmentally-friendly way possible. Therefore, it was only natural for the delegation to come visit Denmark and learn about the Danish district energy sector.

The first day of the visit started with a trip to Vestforbrænding, where the delegations was received by the head of energy, Mr. Per Wulff. Here there was an insightful presentation about the economics of district heating for a W2E plant. After returning from the plant, Lars Hummelmose, managing director at DBDH, made a presentation about the Danish energy system. Following his speech, Jan Elleriis, vice director of CTR, presented the current state of the company and showed the delegation the control room.

The program ended with a status meeting hosted by Mr. Ole Poulsen at Ramboll. During the visit, the delegation had many pieces of interesting knowledge to share, while also showing great curiosity and motivation throughout the entire visit.
