In cooperation with the Danish Trade Council in Paris, from the 3rd to the 5th of November 2014, 9 of the leading Danish suppliers within the district heating sector visited Paris and Lille.
Opening the visit on the 3rd of November, a high level VIP-dinner was arranged at the Ambassador, Mrs. Anne Dorte Riggelsens, residence in Central Paris. On the dinner, key-stakeholders from the French DHC-sector participated – among others, the Director from IEA, Didier Houssin, Director from EuroHeat&Power, Paul Voss, President of SNCU and IDEX, Thierry Franck de Preaumont and Director from ADEME, Rémi Chabrillat.
On the 4th of November, a seminar arranged in cooperation with AMORCE, the French association of communities working within waste management, energy and district heating (regrouping around 550 municipal organizations and more than 250 companies).
On the seminar, following main topics were discussed:
Danish experience with Dynamic system simulation; management tools to simulate the behavior and reactions of the network under certain operation conditions
Danish experience and technologies within low-temperature networks (solar thermal DH, heat pumps, heat storage/accumulation, etc.)
On the 5th of November, a one day-meeting with the DALKIA-management in the DALKIA head-quarters in Lille took place. During the first half of the day, the Dalkia Management presented their role in the French energy market, their visions and expectations to the French district heating market. In addition, the delegation was presented to the DESC (the Dalkia Energy Savings Center for all Dalkia DH-networks in operation). Finally, the delegation visited one of Dalkias biomass boilers in Lens.
