Danish district heating know-how inspires Germany

At DBDH we are delighted that a cooperation agreement has been signed by the Minister of Baden-Wurttemberg, Franz Untersteller, and the Danish Minister for Climate, Energy and Building Rasmus Helveg Petersen .

One of the reasons that it has come so far is DBDH’s determined efforts on the market directed at the region Baden Wurttemberg, which really has its origin in the DBDH members meeting in the summer of 2013. At the members meeting, Arne Jan Hinz from Stadtwerke Schwäbisch Hall was one of the speakers. From the Danish side, the interest in the market and the region was big, and Germany also had a great interest in the Danish energy system and Danish energy policy. The mutual interest has since then resulted in DBDH arranging an export drive to precisely Baden-Wurttemberg; a delegation visit from 7 German Stadtwerke to Denmark; as well as numerous other activities.

DBDH organizes again this year (June) a visit to Baden Württemberg, where the focus is on developing relationships and making new contacts. DBDH therefore welcomes the cooperation agreement, and will continue to coordinate closely with other organizations and authorities in order to achieve the greatest possible synergy of cooperation.
