Date: 15/04/2013

Harbin in the northeast corner of China has about 11 million inhabitants – and more than 80 percent of households are connected to the local district heating network.

The local government has the ambition to streamline the district heating network, so it can match the best in the world. This will be achieved through close cooperation with Danfoss, which has just signed an agreement with Harbin, according to Danish newspaper JydskeVestkysten.

In the biting cold in the northeast of China a thorough renovation and development of district heating network is required.

Harbin Mayor Song Xibin, says about the agreement: “The cooperation with Danfoss about district heating and efficient use of energy is very important for the city of Harbin. Our goal is to make Harbin a leading city in the world when it comes to efficient use of energy.
