On the first of October 2013 Danfoss signed an investment agreement with the administrations in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast and in Dzerzhinsk.

The agreement confirms the parties´ cooperation in the construction of a heating regulation plant in Dzerzhinsk. From the Danish side participated Ambassador Thomas Winkler, CEO of Danfoss Niels Christiansen, CEO of Danfoss Russia Mikhail Shapiro and Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region Mr. Valery Shantsev, and members of the city representation in Dzerzhinsk.

One of the major advantages of using Danish technology in heat regulation systems is the high energy efficiency. Because of old and worn heating systems currently about 30 percent heat is wasted through distribution. This problem can be solved by Danfoss´ heat regulation systems. According to Danfoss´ CEO in Russia Mikhail Shapiro the payback time is two years at a such a plant .

“It is important for us to have this high performance since energy efficiency is of paramount importance to us. We are now in the middle of an investment process with a value of between 400 million to 1 billion rubles (68 to 170 million EUR) which will create 270 jobs, ” emphasized Governor Valery Shantsev.

The construction of the plant in the industrial park ” Dzerzhinsk East ” begins in 2015 and the production will cover an area of 15,000 kvm2.
