COWI is taking yet another step to strengthen its position in Stockholm and within the installation and energy segment by acquiring PB Teknik AB — a heating, ventilation and sanitation consultancy firm. COWI has almost doubled its operations in Stockholm over the past few years.
“The acquisition is in line with COWI’s ambition to create a robust platform in Stockholm on which to base our installation expertise,” says Pär Hammarberg, Regional Vice President COWI Sweden.
“Our aim is broaden and bolster our building and property expertise, including our offer to the market, and we are very happy to have gained access to PB Teknik’s experience and know-how,” says Håkan Adelwald, Senior Vice President Buildings at COWI Sweden.
COWI and PB Teknik are forming a broad platform to enable continued development within the building and real estate segment for complex undertakings. PB Teknik brings expertise and experience in compressed air and gas systems, medical gases, sprinklers, cooling and water treatment — all of which reinforce COWI’s position in pharmaceutical, healthcare buildings, laboratories and clean rooms, as well as cooling and bathing facilities in Sweden.
“I am convinced that merging with a company like COWI means our operations can continue developing in an environment that meets the expectations of both our surroundings and our employees,” says Patrik Bergström, CEO and joint owner of PB Teknik AB.
COWI has almost doubled its operations in the Stockholm region over the past few years. Last year, Projektbyrån, a project management consultancy firm, was acquired as part of these efforts.
The acquisition went into effect on 3 April 2018.
