Copenhagen is more than halfway towards the goal of becoming the world ‘s first CO2 neutral capital

For Copenhagen to achieve the goal of becoming the world’s first CO2 neutral capital in 2025, an important factor is that the district heating from the utility HOFOR, supplying 500,000 Copenhageners, is climate neutral.

New figures show that the heat in the radiators are becoming still more climate-friendly, as 53 percent of the heat now is CO2 neutral district heating. Thus, HOFOR is halfway in its efforts to meet the Copenhagen 2025 goals.
