The second Deep Dives workshop in the CONFIDENCE project plunged into the critical tasks needed to establish a 100% municipally owned DH company and reach investment decisions in the Netherlands.
The Dutch municipality of Súdwest-Fryslân is determined to develop a solid Dutch approach to owning, establishing, and operating district heating. To help and learn from their journey, the project facilitates workshops that dive deep into challenges and solutions.
In this workshop, we continued with the details of project planning and feasibility, collaboration with politicians and stakeholders, reviewing upcoming tasks, and building on lessons learned from the first Deep Dive workshop. The dialogue was nonstop for three days—as part of the official program and during walks, breaks, and meals.
The participants were from the municipality of SWF, VNG, BNG Bank, Enber, the municipality of Høje Taastrup, the district heating companies in Egedal and Næstved, the Embassy of Denmark in the Netherlands, the Danish Energy Agency, DBDH.
