The Consulate General and Danish companies have recently been very active in the region of Khanty-Mansiysk. To follow up on the fruitful cooperation with Khanty-Mansiysk, 7 members of the Energy and Environment Club attended the annual Energy Efficiency Forum in Khanty-Mansiysk October 2013.
The Danish companies Grundfos, COWI, Hvidtved Larsen, Era-Power, Per Aarsleff, Weiss and Logstor participated in the event and continued the Danish success in the region with several agreements and plans for future cooperation.
The three companies Era-Power, Logstor and Weiss teamed up on the project “Kandinsky” on renewal of pipes, cleaning of boilers and the installation of new boilers in the region.
Khanty-Mansiysk Vodokanal (municipal enterprise of water supply and waste water treatment) engaged in dialogue with Grundfos on a project on a pumping station and with Hvidtved Larsen the plan of purchasing a new sewer cleaning tanker was taken.
These three projects will now be part of the new protocol signed between the Government of Khanty-Mansiysk and the Low Hanging Fruits concept.
The Energy and Environment Club has together with the administration of Khanty-Mansiysk agreed to let COWI continue the identification of more projects. F our new Low Hanging Fruits projects have been identified so far , two in Khanty-Mansiysk and the others in Nizhnevartovsk and Surgut.
To follow up on these projects the Consulate General and COWI will return to Khanty-Mansiysk in November 2013 to sign a protocol on the projects. These above mentioned projects and the new identified will all be part of the new protocol signed between the Government of Khanty-Mansiysk and the Low Hanging Fruit concept.
Furthermore the company Haldor Topsoe will revisit the region in November 2013 to follow up on their Memorandum of Understanding on a new gas to gasoline plant signed with the Governor Natalya V. Komarova in June 2013.
