Annual WaterWarmth Partner meeting in Mechelen

WaterWarmth unites communities to drive change, creating replicable solutions for energy transition. The project aims to empower the North Sea Region for a sustainable future. The recent meeting in Mechelen highlighted the partners’ dedication.

DBDH is a part of the project consortium co-developing inspiring and replicable examples of cooperative aqua thermal energy solutions integrated into the local context across the North Sea Region (NL, BE, DE, FR, DK, SE).

The project consortium is seeking to overcome various barriers. These include the high costs of transitioning from gas infrastructure, historical reliance on low-cost fossil fuels, and challenges related to citizen participation, environmental impact, legal frameworks, and project funding.

Participation in the EU-funded market development projects is one of the strategic activities of @DBDH, where we contribute with our network and knowledge of Danish district heating. The recent partner meeting in Mechelen showcased the dedication and shared motivation of 21 project partners. DBDH is excited to contribute to the transformative journey ahead with this collective drive.
