4th Annual Geothermal Conference: Fællessalen, Christiansborg – 26th February 2020 at 13.30 to 17.30

Date: 20 January 2020

500 MW Geothermal in 2030

We have a Danish climate law which is one of the most ambitious in the world, and we are ready to put action behind the words. We have made radical changes, but there is room for more. Wind and solar can advantageously be supplemented with geothermal to create an interaction between electricity and heat.

We have therefore, with the title of this year’s conference, set the goal, and we look forward to discussing with politicians and officials, organizations and professionals as well as other interested parties, how we can achieve the shared exploitation of the geothermal potential of the Danish underground.

This year, we are focusing on the value of geothermal overall, and how the sectoral connection should help to balance the green energy, the interaction between geothermal and heat pumps, for the supply as well as, how we have committed ourselves to achieve synergies with the Climate Act.

In the closing panel debate, we have an exciting new angle this year; what is the perspective of young people? We have invited representatives from the Youth Climate Council to hear their bid on how words are translated into action.
