The Chinese National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and China’s National Energy Conservation Centre (NECC) visited, among others, DBDH in the period from September 11th-15th 2016. Xu Zhiqiang, Deputy Director General (NECC), led the delegation team. The delegation was on a study tour to learn about the Danish district heating systems and to improve bi-lateral energy cooperation.
The Delegation was welcomed by DEA on the first day of the tour. They heard presentations about district heating solutions and waste utilization. After this, the delegation got a chance to introduce themselves and their activities. The day was completed by a visit to Avedøre Power plant and a presentation by market director, Anders Dyrelund, Rambøll.
The following day, the delegation started off with a trip to Kalundborg Industrial symbioses centre, which included a visit to Asnæs Combined Heat Power plant, where they were shown different electrical boiler installations. DI and State of Green finalized the day by having displaying different Danish company cases and also having presentations of their own.
The last day was hosted at DBDH. Here, the event started off with a welcoming by DBDH’s Managing director, Mr. Lars Hummelmose, who gave a general overview of the Danish district heating sector. This was followed by VEKS director, Lars Gullev, who went into depth about the Danish energy collaboration varmelast.dk. EMD also provided a speech about their EnergyPRO simulation system which focuses on district heating integration of RE and EE. The day was concluded by technical director from COWI, Søren K. Christensen, who gave a presentation about hydraulic optimization and energy efficiency gains in district heating through better hydraulic controls.
Throughout the visit the delegation where very curious and had a lot of general, but also, technical questions.
