Næstved Varmeværk

Næstved Varmeværk is a consumer-owned district heating company with the aim of establishing district heating plants as well as, through these, operating district heating supply in Næstved Municipality for the buildings of the supply of the members of the co-operative society with heat and hot utility water.

The company has today six natural gas fired district heating units, three booster stations and two exchange stations. From the exchange stations, the heat is distributed from a waste and combined heat and power plant with a total capacity of 50 MW.

Næstved Varmeværk supplies approximately 50 % of Næstved city with district heating and expects to be supplying 90 % of the city before the end of 2035. The company has 15 employees.
